Frigging hell, talk about opening a can of worms when I asked for some sewing/dressing room name ideas!
You lovelies crack me up!
From The von Trollop Va Va Voom Vanity to Helga's Hole (!), from The Boom Boom Room to my Nookie, from Lady Helga's Playroom to El Rincon de las Maravillas, from Helga's Altar Room to Helga's Happy Hovel........I am spoilt for choice!
It's exhausting just thinking about choosing just one!
It is intended to be as organised as possible, as I am prone to tanties when I can't find what I'm looking for......but it has a looong way to go still!
Um, yes, I suppose I do have a lot of black cardi's!!!
Not sure how many, but there are short sleeve and long sleeve and slight variations on the theme. Probably about 15 or so?
That's not weird, is it?!
Penny Rose, my immense collection of tights have just got their own set of drawers!
It's a "tall boy", and I will show y'all a bit more of our progress shortly!
Anyways, this was Saturday's outfit for prancing about the neighbourhood, doing the groceries, blah blah blah....
Wearing:
Frock-made it myself with fabric from Mexico
Crinoline-gift from my friend Amber
Cardi-opshopped
Belt-opshopped
Shoes-Trade Me
Handbag-70's, gift from G
Hat-60's, opshoppedSunglasses-vintage Orotons, from speed dating demoness Sarah
Earrings-gift from G
Necklace-pendant from Oaxaca, strung by moi
And because it goes perfectly with the colour scheme, here's a fabularse Thai fish dish I whipped up last week.

Prancing and shopping and cooking and nooking and naming and shaming and Mary and Helga and THAT DRESS and THOSE SHOES and mmmmm YUMMY DINNER and entire tall boy FULL of hosiery! YOU, my darling are the QUEEN OF THE UNIVERSE!
Love you more than RED PETTICOATS! Sarah xxx
FIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIRST, MOFOS!!!!
What ever you end up calling it I'm sure it'll be a most excellent choice :)
You've just lit up my screen with that joyous ensemble and also made me feel rather peckish...all of a sudden I'm having a mad craving for some spicy Thai food.
Lot's of love,
Jennie

The names for your sewing/dressing room were inspired, weren't they? I think you need an official opening ceremony with a ribbon to cut and photos and speeches and everything. Make G choose a name if you can't, another little job for him!
On to your frock, which is utterly magnificent! The shape and the colours and the print and the little collar detail on the front and the wee peek of bra and the gorgeous petticoat underneath - all absolute perfection. Add in the wonderful bag and hat and sexy shoes, and it's even better!
Mmmm....Thai food, looks so good!
You have brightened up a dull morning very nicely, darling, thank you! xxxxxx
That Hat. That Dress. Divine-als.
Gawd how I love a good hat-rockin'!
xo
Oh I missed the post where we could come up with ideas for the sewing/dressing room! I'm rather in love with the fact you have a sewing/dressing room. Isn't 15 black cardies about the right number? :D I think I've said it before, but I will say it again - I want to eat dinner at your house. The food you cook always looks devine!!!
That dress is so gorgeous! I have a weekness for rose patterns . The hat is so cute!
Ooooooooh yes **clap, clap, clap** I love Curtise's idea of a special room opening day! You could combine it with a naming of the room announcement, with champagne, petit fours, guests, music and malarky galore!!! Pleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeze do it!!!! Now I'm bloody hungry looking at YOU and your delicious fish dish!!! xoxoxooxox
That outfit is divine from the hat to the feet and everything in between, you sexilicous beast!
I agree, an opening ceremony complete with fancy hat and ribbon cutting, don't break a bottle of Champers against the door tho', I'd be a waste.
That Thai fish dish is a work of art and how fab that you could have spilt it down your front and it would have blended in with your outfit!
Love you! xxxxxx
Beautiful dress I love the flowers on it, I am particular about my flowers aha. That tooled handbag is heavenly so is that food, you should share your recipes! xxx
Oooooooh!!! My most favourite dress on my favourite Trollop!!! Love the flash of under slip!!
Yes I'm with the girls, let's do an official ceremony!Curtise is right I'm sure that G could find the right name, he's so gifted, I love when he choose your post title quotes!
This outfit is spectacular and the frock you made is just perfect with the red crinoline, the whole post is an orange/green/red feast for my eyes!
Love xxxx
love all that glorious orange color and pretty frilly petticoat!, and love your cute hat and perfect bag, as usual!
Of course you need an opening ceremony, and it's perfectly normal to own many black cardis, they're different from each other!
besos & cardis
Gorgeous dress indeed, and I am particularly smitten with those divine shoes. You are a colour feast!
You are an absolute multi-coloured vision - certainly cheered-up the dark skies looming over Manchester!
Helga's Hole is my fave name suggestion (purely because of the giggles that are sure to come from it!)
Feeling the need to dig out some sunshine yellow from my wardrobe now, toodle pip!

Dang girl! You look so good in that dress-- orange with roses!!!! Gah! I love it!!!! And the petticoat is freakin' incredible. That food looks yummmmmmy! Is there no end to your talents?
How delicious that your citrus outfit and you food match!
I'm a purse and handbag girl and the one that you are wearing looks so rich to the touch and so well made.
15 black cardi's? Last count for me was 20. I blame Exene. If that awesome, I've been looking for one for years purse goes missing, it wasn't me.
Totally in awe of yet another tremendously fantastical ensemble! You look amazing, so cool that you made your gorgeous dress!!! Not surprised that your place-where-the-magic-happens is so multi-storied with naming options. :)

I used to have a handbag very similar to that one but it had a shoulder strap, I really wish I'd never binned/lost al the my handbags I've ever had :(
My heart skipped a beat when I saw that dress...
Whatever name you choose, I'm sure it will be most amazing and a perfect reflection of you!
Please come by and link up w/ me today and show off that spectacular outfit!!!!
I am terrible at coming up with names for things in general. It took us over a month to name Ridley.
You look fabulous and love the color of the dress. I love the pattern of the dress a lot. Dinner looks delish.
You are one Dish d' Lish! And the food don't look bad either. Is that from your recent dinner party? You inspired me to plan more of those myself.
You did an amazing job on the dress you made from the Mexico fabric!
ha ha great room names be interesting to see what you come up with. Looking gorgeous in orange love your 50's petticoat thats worthy of being worn with a little vest top and having its own day out. dee xx
My tights have their own drawer too, well, half a drawer, the other half taken up by specs, I don't think I have nearly as many variations as you though. That bag is orgasmic! The shape and the design, beautiful, as is your whole summery outfit. Xx
Helga, you were mentioned in an article I just read about fabulous fashionable women bloggers over 40, and of course I had to give you and Desiree props in the comment section! Yay! Here's the article:http://www.xojane.com/fashion/im-looking-forward-to-40
Oh we must get a glimpse inside your drawers!!!
You are a hot orangealicious vision in that frock!!
That fish dish looks delish!!!
Matching your dinner to your outfit? CHOICE!
Your crinoline is spectacular and demands to be flashed liberally. And your frock is the most deliciously mad tangeriney floral goodness. For the closet (I missed the last post) - Punt Room. The other suggestions are AWESOME!
Love the shoes, purse, dress, petticoat, food - did I miss anything? Oh, the colors - love the colors!
petticoats make my bottom itch something awful when I sit down. Am I the only one who gets itchy crinoline butt?
What great names for your room!!!!
Looking just gorgeous in the fabulous rose dress Miss Helga.
Love V
Oh I love the way you dress, it feels so unique and totally you.

I want that dress so badly. It is PERFECTION, absolute perfection.
It's so nice on a cold wintery night to visit your blog and be treated to brilliant sunshine and bright colors. You just ooze positive vibes in this outfit.
I was in a thrift shop today and, inspired by you, picked up a little cardi.
You look so lovely and just JUICY here Helga, I've admired that gorgeous Madonna necklace before and that bag is a thing of great beauty.Looking forward to seeing the room all finished and named, you could do a Cribs type blog! xx
What a great name's for your room. :D Hope you can make a good choise.
15 black cardi's. :D Thanks! I showed hubby this and explained him that he really shouldn't complain of me and my 5 black cardi's.
The flowerprint on your bag is gorgeous. It is one of the prettiest bags I've ever seen.
