We're on a bus!
Being rather of a Queenly disposition, I rarely take the bus!
But we were going to Lyttleton for our friend Jo's 40th birthday celebrations, and didn't want to stay the night, as we usually do.........so, a bus ride it was (two, actually) and then a taxi home!
I wore a favourite turquoise and silver brocade 60's frock that I haven't worn for ages!
As Vix said yesterday, so many frocks, so little time!
One does make an effort to live a glamourous life.
I honestly cannot remember where I got this wonderful headpiece that's crawling over my head from...I'd quite forgotten I had it, and I suspect one of you gorgeous creatures sent it to me?!
I rummaged about in a hat drawer, where I hadn't been for ages, and there it was, all perfectly matchy matchy to my frock!
Shoes-opshopped (I spied them in the window one evening, after closing time, and rang them first thing next morning to have them hold the shiney slutty darlings for me!)
Frock-Two Squirrels (shame it got a bit crushed; that bus riding for you)
Cape (being clutched for later)-from the sweetest Squirrel
Clutch-thrifted in the States
50's sunglasses and earrings-lovely Sue
Diamante necklace-sweetheart Louise

We had a smashing time, dinner at Fisherman's Wharf followed by drinks and dancing at Tommy Changs......we stumbled into a cab at about midnight, making it a rather civilised evening indeed!
