On her ship tied to the mast, to distant lands

So, I was out and about on Saturday, running a few errands...I popped on into Retropolitan (my favourite Christchurch vintage shop) on my way home, and Loretta, owner Diane's right hand, said that there was  vintage market on, and that Diane was running a stall for the first time there!
I pretty much did wheelies to get my arse over there, as I haven't made it to my friend Anissa's vintage market for ages........and I am so glad I did!
I couldn't find Diane (turned out I was way early), but I did find these gorgeous gals!
The divoon redhead, Daisy du Belle, follows my Facebook page, apparently!
As soon as I saw the hats on these chicks I knew it was sweet love.

I'm so glad I was dressed semi respectably for meeting hot babes!
Frock-made it myself using a curtain and a 50's pattern from gorgeous Vix
Cardi-opshopped
Jacket-70's, opshopped
Belt, tights, vintage Oroton sunglasses, pendant-my darling, darling Sarah
Shoes-retail
Handbag-it's a Rex! Gift from G, who got it at Retropolitan!
Flower-consignment shop in New Mexico
Beads-60's, opshopped

We've had phenomenally * great weather this weekend!
G has finished his painting, we've had a bit of a garage dungout, so the Kombi (Zombi) now fits in, and I've been cooking up a storm...

Ah, Autumn, you are treating us well!

X

* I checked the spelling, but it just looks plain weird!

Ooh, texture like sun, darling! You look luscious in those autumnal shades, they are so beautiful with your red hair.
Fabularse frock, of course, and the little cropped jacket and Dorothy shoes to match your of-course-it's-a-Rex bag are gorgeous.
Don't those ladies look amazing? I think you have formed a new Girl Gang!
So did you buy anything front Retropolitan or the market? Or we you too busy chatting and laughing?!
Love your wondrousness! xxxxx

What a scrumptious group of girlies there, all most magnificently dressed from head to toe.
Your Autumn-toned outfit is gorgeous, the curtain couture frock is perfect with the mustard tights, boob-enhancing cardi and feck-off hair flower. Hoorah for great weather (not that I'd know anything about it) and for vintage shopping and for G being such a handy man.
So, what did you buy?
Love ya! xxxxxx

I just love the whole outfit - the pattern mixing, the layering, the colors - but that bow on your belt is the piece de resistance!

I love how perfectly matched your bag, shoes and belt are. Your curtain couture dress is fabulous. That jacket is the perfect length. I must find myself something of a similar length to wear with all my full skirted dresses.

You've found your people! That top photo is beyond brilliant. I recognise that backdrop of blue pallets, you've played there!!

I love your outfit with the red bow belt and the wonderful curtain dress - you can even sew collars, you are Queen of the Sewing Machine. I really rather enjoyed those close ups too, particularly the one showcasing your mustard cardigan and belt. That was what you were showcasing wasn't it?! ;)

Well done G! You are a top man. I loved the way that painting was looking a while back, bet it all looks beautiful now. xxxxxx

I love that there are so many vintage markets popping up all over the world! Except NY ): I want to start one near me, I did so well when I rented space last summer that I think it would go over well.... must think about how to go about that (like I haven't enough projects on my plate!) Oh you look so gorgeous in your outfit, I can't believe you made that dress, its fantastic! And the flower background with the colours of your outfit make me happy -- it looks like what it should look like here, only we're barely just starting to get green, a lot of damage from Frankensandy killed a good deal of trees so everything still looks quite bare and wintery, boo! XXX (Now dubbed "The Governor" from the Walking Dead since I'm still battling with that one damn eye! Grrr.
